Ingredients

Chili

1 tablespoon Land O Lakes® Butter

1 (20-ounce) package lean ground turkey

1 medium (1 cup) onion, chopped

1 small (1/2 cup) green bell pepper, chopped

1 rib (1/2 cup) celery, chopped

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic

2 (14.5-Ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained

2 (16-ounce) cans kidney beans, undrained

1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

Topping

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Yellow Deli American, cut in half diagonally

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt butter in 5-quart saucepan until sizzling; add ground turkey, onions, green pepper, celery and garlic. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 12-15 minutes or until meat is browned. Drain off fat.

  2. STEP 2

    Stir in all remaining ingredients except cheese. Continue cooking 10-12 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, 30-40 minutes or until flavors are blended. Top each serving with cheese triangles.
