Ingredients

1-pound loaf French bread, ends trimmed, cut into 4 (5-inch) sections

4 tablespoons whole grain mustard

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® White Deli American

8 ounces sliced deli ham

8 pickle plans

3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter, melted

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat panini press.

  2. STEP 2

    Cut each bread section horizontally, leaving one side attached.

  3. STEP 3

    Open cut bread; spread bottom with 1 tablespoon mustard. Top with 1 slice cheese, 1 slice ham, 2 pickle planks and 1 slice cheese. Press top of cut bread down over filling. Brush outside of bread with about 2 teaspoons butter.

  4. STEP 4

    Place 2 sandwiches into press. Close press; cook 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.

Tip #1

If you don’t have a panini press, heat skillet over medium heat. Place 1 or 2 sandwiches into skillet. Place another skillet on top of sandwiches to flatten them. Cook, turning once, 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
