Buttery Cheeseburgers

Ingredients
1 Land O Lakes® Butter, frozen
4 cup1 pound 85/15 ground beef
3
4 teaspoon salt1
2 teaspoon pepper4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Yellow Deli American
4 hamburger buns, buttered, toasted
Lettuce leaves, as desired
Sliced red onion, as desired
Sliced tomato, as desired
Pickle slices, as desired
How to make

STEP 1
Using largest side of grater, shred butter onto sheet of waxed or parchment paper. Freeze at least 5 minutes.

Gently mix ground beef and shredded butter until well incorporated. Form into 4 (5-inch) patties. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. Refrigerate until cooking time.
Tip: Making Patties

STEP 3
To grill burgers, heat gas grill to medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Place patties onto grill over direct heat; grill 5 minutes. Turn patties; continue grilling 3-5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F or desired doneness. When there is about 1 minute left of cooking time, add cheese to patties. Continue grilling until cheese is melted.
OR To cook in skillet, heat skillet over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium; cook patties 4 minutes. Turn patties; continue cooking 3-5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F or desired doneness. Turn off heat. Place cheese on each patty; cover pan with lid 1 minute or until cheese is melted. -
STEP 4
Place burgers onto toasted buns; top as desired.
