Ingredients
1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1
4 cup firmly packed brown sugar2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg (yolk only)
1
2 teaspoon vanilla extract1
2 cup all-purpose flour1
4 teaspoon baking soda1
2 cup caramel bits1
4 teaspoon coarse sea saltHow to make

STEP 1
Beat melted butter and sugars in small bowl until creamy. Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat until well combined.

Whisk together flour and baking soda in another small bowl. Add flour mixture and caramel bits to butter mixture. Stir until combined. Cover; refrigerate 15 minutes.

Heat oven to 325°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper; set aside.

Pat dough into 5 1/2-inch circle, about 1/2 inch thick, on prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle dough with coarse sea salt.

Bake 8 minutes; tap cookie sheet against oven rack or counter top. Bake 5 minutes; tap cookie sheet against oven rack or counter top. Continue baking 3-4 minutes or until edges are dark golden brown. Cool completely.
