Cheddar Pan Biscuits
These home-baked biscuits made with Cheddar cheese and basil make a tasty supper accompaniment.

Ingredients
3 cup2 1
4 cups all-purpose flour1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1
2 teaspoon salt1 cup milk
How to make

STEP 1
Heat oven to 400°F.

Melt butter in 8-inch square baking pan in oven. Remove from oven; set aside.

Combine all remaining ingredients except milk in bowl. Stir in milk just until moistened.

Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; knead 1 minute or until smooth. Pat or roll dough into 12x6-inch rectangle. Cut into 12 (1-inch) strips.

Dip each strip into melted butter in pan; fold each strip in half. Return folded strips to pan, arranging in two rows. Bake 23-28 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
