Chocolate Chip Sweet Cream Scones

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 1
2 teaspoons baking powder1
2 teaspoon salt1 Land O Lakes® Butter, cut into chunks
3 cup cold1
2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips1 large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten
4 to 6 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Half & Half
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten
How to make

STEP 1
Heat oven to 400°F.

STEP 2
Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in chocolate chips, 1 egg and just enough half & half so dough leaves sides of bowl.

STEP 3
Knead dough lightly 10 times on lightly floured surface. Roll into 9-inch circle; cut into 12 wedges.

STEP 4
Place wedges onto ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with remaining egg. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from baking sheet.
