Chocolate Cherry Bonbons

Ingredients
Cookie
1 Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
2 cup1
2 cup granulated sugar1
4 cup firmly packed brown sugar2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted, cooled

2 cups all-purpose flour1
4 teaspoon baking soda1
2 cup coarsely chopped maraschino cherries, patted dry30 milk chocolate candy pieces with soft chocolate centers, unwrapped

2 cup white baking chips1 teaspoon vegetable oil
How to make

STEP 1
Heat oven to 350°F.

Combine butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add melted chocolate and egg; continue beating at medium speed until well mixed. Add flour and baking soda; beat at low speed until well mixed. Stir in cherries.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls; form 1 ball around 1 candy piece to cover completely. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 10-12 minutes or just until set. Remove to cooling rack. Cool completely.

Place baking chips and oil into bowl. Microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, 60-90 seconds or until melted.

Spoon into resealable plastic food bag; cut off 1 very small corner of bag. Pipe drizzle onto cookies.
Tip #1
Keep cookies stored in tightly covered containers. The cherries will keep the cookies soft for several days.
