Ingredients
Pumpkins
4 cup1 (10-ounce) package miniature marshmallows
6 drops red food color
6 drops yellow food color
6 cups crisp rice cereal
Decorations
Green decorator frosting or gel
Mini chocolate roll candies, cut in half
How to make
-
STEP 1
Melt butter in large saucepan over medium-low heat; add marshmallows. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes or until melted and smooth. Remove from heat; stir in red and yellow food color. Stir in cereal until well coated. Let mixture cool 5 minutes.
-
STEP 2
Shape about 1 cup cereal mixture into round shape, using buttered measuring cup to portion out mixture. Repeat with remaining cereal mixture to make 6 pumpkins total.
-
STEP 3
Press mini chocolate roll candy halves into top of pumpkins. Press butter knife edge into sides of crispy balls to create indentations on sides to resemble pumpkin.
-
STEP 4
Pipe green frosting around stems to create vines.
Tip #1
Use buttered hands to shape cereal mixture into a round shape to avoid sticking.
Tip #2
For a more intense color, substitute paste or gel food color for the liquid food color.
