Ingredients
1 tablespoon water or milk
Salt, if desired
Pepper, if desired
3 teaspoons Land O Lakes® Butter
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
1
4 cup chopped cooked ham2 (1/4 cup) ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
How to make
-
STEP 1
Combine eggs and water in medium bowl; beat with fork or whisk until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
-
STEP 2
Melt 2 teaspoons butter in 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling; add onion and green pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender. Stir in ham. Remove from pan. Keep warm; set aside.
-
STEP 3
Melt remaining 1 teaspoon butter in same skillet; pour egg mixture into skillet. Cook 30 seconds or until bottom is set. Lift edge of eggs with heat proof spatula to allow uncooked portions to flow underneath. Continue cooking, lifting eggs as needed, 1-2 minutes or until almost set.
-
STEP 4
Remove from heat. Sprinkle ham mixture and cheese over half of omelet. Carefully fold other side of omelet over cheese. Carefully slide omelet onto serving plate. Garnish with additional chopped onion, chopped green bell pepper and chopped cooked ham, if desired.
