Garlic Mushroom & Swiss Burger

Ingredients
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
1
4 teaspoon salt1
8 teaspoon pepper2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
1 (8-ounce) package (2 cups) sliced fresh mushrooms
1 medium (1 cup) thinly sliced red onion
4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Swiss Cheese
Lettuce leaves, if desired
4 hamburger buns, split
How to make

STEP 1
Heat gas grill to medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.

Combine ground beef, garlic, onion powder, salt and pepper in bowl; mix lightly. Shape ground beef mixture into four (4-inch) patties. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until sizzling; add mushrooms and onions. Cook, stirring often, until mushrooms and onions are golden brown. Set aside; keep warm.

Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 12-18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160⁰F or meat is no longer pink in center. Top each burger with 1 slice cheese; remove from grill.

Place lettuce leaf, if desired, onto bottom half of buns. Top with burgers, mushroom mixture and top half of buns.
