5 cups toasted rice cereal

3/4 cup light corn syrup

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

Decorations

24 ounces vanilla and/or chocolate-flavored candy coating (almond bark)

Red and green decorator icings

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Spray 13x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. Pour cereal into large bowl; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and granulated sugar in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5-6 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and butter until mixture is smooth and combined.

  3. STEP 3

    Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal; stir to coat cereal completely. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Cool completely.

  4. STEP 4

    Place large sheet of waxed paper on work surface. Cut cereal bars into 32 pieces.

  5. STEP 5

    Melt candy coatings as directed on package. Dip each bar completely in candy coating. Place onto waxed paper; let stand until coating is set.

  6. STEP 6

    Draw ribbon design with decorator icing on each bar; top with candies as desired.
