Pistachio Ribbon Bars

Ingredients

1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1
4 teaspoon salt1 cup chopped pistachios
1
2 cup seedless raspberry jamDrizzle
1
2 cup powdered sugar2 to 3 teaspoons milk
How to make

STEP 1
Heat oven to 350°F.

STEP 2
Combine butter and sugar in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add flour and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.

Divide dough in half; press half into ungreased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake 13 minutes.

Mix chopped pistachios into remaining dough until well combined.

STEP 5
Spread jam over hot, partially baked crust to within 1/2 inch of edge. Sprinkle remaining dough mixture over jam. Bake 30-33 minutes or until top is light golden brown. Cool completely.

Combine powdered sugar and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency in bowl. Drizzle over bars.
Tip #1
- Use salted peanuts, cashews or hazelnuts instead of pistachios for a different flavor.
Tip #2
- Try strawberry, red currant or apricot jam instead of raspberry jam.
Tip #3
- To make ahead, prepare bars as directed; do not prepare drizzle. Freeze bars up to 1 month. Thaw. Combine powder sugar and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency in bowl. Drizzle over bars.
