24 small pretzel sticks, halved
How to make
-
STEP 1
Heat oven to 325°F.
-
STEP 2
Combine butter and sugar in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add milk and almond flavoring; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.
-
STEP 3
Shape dough into 24 (1-inch) balls, 24 (3/4-inch) balls and 24 (1/2-inch) balls. Roll each in coarse grain sugar.
-
STEP 4
Form each snowman by arranging 1 of each size ball onto cookie sheet, from small to large. Gently press balls together. Repeat with remaining balls.
-
STEP 5
Create eyes and mouth of snowmen, using sprinkles and candies. Place chocolate chips or small candies onto snowmen for buttons. Insert pretzel sticks into middle ball of snowmen for arms.
-
STEP 6
Bake 13-15 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Carefully transfer to cooling rack. Cool completely.
Tip #1
Choose shiny cookie sheets made from aluminum or stainless steel for even baking and consistently shaped cookies. They should be at least 2 inches narrower and shorter than your oven’s inside dimensions to allow for proper air circulation.
