Ingredients

Pastry

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1/4 cup sugar

Filling

1 1/2 cups finely chopped slivered almonds

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

3 large Land O Lakes® Eggs, slightly beaten

1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons almond liqueur  

Garnish

Toasted sliced almonds, if desired

Powdered sugar, if desired

Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream, whipped, sweetened, if desired

 *Substitute 2 tablespoons water and 1 teaspoon almond flavoring.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 375°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine all pastry ingredients in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press onto bottom and 1 inch up sides of ungreased 9-inch springform pan.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine all filling ingredients in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Pour filling into crust. Bake 30-40 minutes or until center is set and deep golden brown. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.

  4. STEP 4

    Garnish with sliced almonds and powdered sugar, if desired. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
