There's an Egg for That
I have joked (only half-jokingly) to our Test Kitchen team that I would like to write a love letter to eggs. I mean, seriously, is there anything the humble egg can’t do?!? I will restrain myself from going full-on fan girl in this installment, and focus instead on eggs for every meal.

I have joked (only half-jokingly) to our Test Kitchen team that I would like to write a love letter to eggs. I mean, seriously, is there anything the humble egg can’t do?!? I will restrain myself from going full-on fan girl in this installment, and focus instead on eggs for every meal.
Breakfast
Eggs are best known for being a breakfast staple, and rightfully so. They are delicious scrambled, poached or fried – not to mention in omelets, pancakes and waffles. However, anyone who knows me knows that I am not satisfied with the status quo. I like to reinvent, remix and re-imagine things, especially when it comes to food. So, instead of a pan of scrambled eggs for breakfast, why not take those eggs and make a Mediterranean Breakfast Pizza or Breakfast Nachos? I can hear your family thanking me already. Lunch
What’s for lunch today? In my world, this question is most frequently answered in one of two ways: salad or sandwich. Egg salad, whether stuffed into a pita or broiled on an English muffin, makes for a satisfying lunch. And a Lemon Pepper Cobb or Bacon Ranch Macaroni salad just wouldn’t have the same appeal without eggs. Hard cooked eggs can be a little tricky, but all the help you need is only a click away in Kitchen Know-How. You can even see our Test Kitchen video on How To Make Hard-Cooked Eggs on YouTube.
Dinner
When you your meal seems like it might be missing something, my advice is to add an egg. Take this Asparagus Soup from starter to entrée with a perfectly poached egg on top. Not sure how to poach an egg? This recipe for Anyday Poached Eggs can help.
Eggs are also the best way to take something over the top. Sandwich just so-so? Add a fried egg into a classic BLT for a new taste.
Or, if you're feeling really indulgent, whip those eggs up into a sauce like Béarnaise. Your steak and French fries have never had it so good.
